Javier Espinoza Garcia
 Attorney


Javier Espinoza Garcia was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. His family immigrated to the United States early on and he was raised among the working class people of West Texas. The first in his family to graduate college, Javier has met and overcome adversity from an early age. Despite speaking no English when he entered kindergarten, Javier went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998 with a degree in Psychology and Texas Tech University School of Law in 2002. After law school, Javier moved to El Paso, Texas where he began his career at the prestigious plaintiff’s firm of Scherr & Legate PLLC and became a partner after four years with the firm. In January of 2008, Javier opened The Law Office of Javier Espinoza, P.C. in San Antonio, Texas as the principal owner and shareholder which subsequently has now become The Espinoza Law Firm, PLLC. Since starting his career, Javier has gained extensive trial litigation experience trying and arbitrating an extensive amount of cases to verdict. Due to his experience and success, Javier has received numerous statewide awards and honors. Javier is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Steven Sachs
 Attorney


Steven Sachs is a passionate and experienced attorney with The Law Office of Javier Espinoza, P.C. Raised in San Antonio, Texas, Steven is a graduate of Ronald Reagan High School, The University of Texas at San Antonio, and St. Mary’s University School of Law. While in college, Steven received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Legal Studies. During this time, Steven clerked with the Honorable Judge Xavier Rodriguez, a former Justice on the Texas Supreme Court and current Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Immediately after college Steven attended St. Mary’s University School of Law where he worked with the Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid providing various legal services to underprivileged families. He graduated in 2010 and was admitted as a member of the State Bar the same year. Steven was also licensed in Federal Court for the Western District of Texas in 2012. Steven is solely focused on representing working men and women all over Texas. He has dedicated his career to fighting for the rights of injured workers and their families. In addition, Steven represents employees involved in disputes for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and FMLA. He has experience litigating cases in state court and arbitration. Steven’s love of the law was inspired by his Great-Grandfather, Michael Kern, who served as a Judge in New York City during the 1960’s. Steven loves spending time with his family, playing sports, and working on cars. He is an avid San Antonio Spurs fan. Steven’s passion and legal experience in State Court as well as the Federal system make him an asset to The Law Office of Javier Espinoza, P.C. and to the legal community.

Ina M. Minjarez
 Attorney


Ina Marie Minjarez was born in El Paso, Texas to hardworking parents.  As a young girl, Ina aspired to become a lawyer to fight against the injustices her parents faced through their lives.  Her passion for the law began when her parents shared stories of marching with Cesar Chavez in the early seventies to protest the racial discrimination they endured as employees of the Farah Manufacturing Company.  Ina graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors degree in Government and English in 1997.  She then went on to graduate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2000.  While in law school, Ina interned with the Bexar County Criminal District Court Administration where she researched and prepared Writ of Habeas Corpus Opinions on behalf of the Felony District Court Judges.  She also served as a staff writer for The Scholar, a Law Review on Minority Issues.  In her final year of law school, her legal comment critiquing the Texas Pay Day Act was selected for publication.  Immediately following her admission to the State Bar of Texas , Ina worked as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting a variety of misdemeanor and felony criminal offenses.  She gained extensive trial experience, and was responsible for prosecuting several high profile criminal cases in San Antonio.  In October of 2006, Ina began her private practice focusing on criminal defense and family law cases.  In January 2013, Ina joined The Espinoza Law Firm, PLLC. to pursue her passion for advocating on behalf of injured workers, as well as those employees who have fallen victim to discrimination in the workplace or wrongful termination. Ina takes pride in protecting her clients and assuring their voices are heard.  She has tried over one hundred cases to verdict in her legal career.  Outside of the courtroom, Ina is an avid marathon runner and enjoys training for races throughout the country.

Jasmin Dominguez
 Business Manager


Jasmin Dominguez was born and raised in California and moved to Texas at the age of 20. Jasmin’s business and management experience consists of training over 200 employees on sales processes, customer service and computer software applications necessary for daily operations. Jasmin has ten years of sales experience and six years of business management experience in strategic planning, staffing, training and leadership. She is experienced in the start up and execution for over 100 events, engaging in community activities and business development to support business goals.

Jasmin has been with The Espinoza Law Firm since October 2011 as its business and office manager. Her roles include overall human resources and management, setting firm goals and executing firm policies and procedures to achieve said goals, advertising, marketing and overall firm strategic business implementation… Jasmin oversees the firm and its employees in effectuating firm policies and goals.

Jasmin continues to be a true asset to the Espinoza Law Firm and continues to help the firm management navigate the daily business and legal challenges of today.

Sonia Rodriguez
 Senior Paralegal


Sonia Rodriguez was born and raised in Odessa, Texas and moved to San Antonio in 2003 with her husband and two children. Sonia obtained her paralegal certification from the University of Texas at San Antonio in December of 2008.

Sonia joined the Espinoza Law Firm in April of 2012 and has been working directly for Mr. Espinoza as the head paralegal for the firm.

Sonia’s strength is derived from her passion to help her clients and ensure that justice is obtained to the fullest extent possible. In her spare time Sonia enjoys reading and enjoying time with her family. Sonia’s experience has been in drafting and answering discovery, meeting with clients, drafting motions and pleadings for Texas State and U.S. District Courts, including e-filing and maintaining great rapport with her clients. She has also been the lead paralegal in various arbitrations and trials.

Sonia has earned the professional respect of attorneys and judges as a result of her compassion, commitment and professionalism. Most importantly she is a great asset to the Espinoza Law Firm.

Sonia is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Marisol Cason
 Paralegal


Marisol Cason was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in El Paso, Texas. Marisol moved to San Antonio in 2009 and commenced working with the Espinoza Law Firm immediately. Overcoming significant obstacles, Marisol has been part of our firm since 2009. Marisol started initially as our receptionist and, due to her intelligence and personality, was soon promoted to Paralegal. Marisol has been a valued paralegal for the Espinoza Law Firm since February of 2011.

Marisol’s experience has been in drafting and answering discovery, meeting with clients, drafting motions and pleadings for Texas State and U.S. District Courts, including e-filing and maintaining great rapport with her clients. She has also been the lead paralegal in various arbitrations and trials. Marisol has earned the professional respect of attorneys and judges as a result of her compassion, commitment and professionalism. Most importantly she is a great asset to the Espinoza Law Firm.

Lara Brock
 Law Clerk


Law Clerk Lara Brock is a native of Roanoke, Virginia, who moved to San Antonio after marrying Ryan Brock, grandson of San Antonio trial attorney Roy Brock. Lara began working for the Espinoza Law Firm shortly after moving to San Antonio prior to beginning law school at St. Mary’s University School of Law.

Currently, Lara is embarking on her third year of study at St. Mary’s and has been ranked fourth in her class. While attending St. Mary’s, she has become active in advocating for underrepresented classes, as she has become the Managing Executive Editor for The Scholar: St. Mary’s University’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice.

While working for the Espinoza Law Firm, Lara has participated in all aspects of the litigation process, from investigating claims and interviewing potential clients, to drafting petitions, drafting and responding to discovery, drafting motions, responses and briefs, and, most recently, drafted her first appeal to the United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit. Currently, Lara has the opportunity to begin taking depositions and conducting hearings through the State Bar of Texas’ temporary trial card, which permits law school students to begin practicing law under the supervision and direction of the firm’s licensed attorneys

Lara mainly focuses on nonsubscriber injury cases, third party injury cases, and employment discrimination and retaliation cases.

Tassia M. Carranza
 Discovery Clerk


Tassia A. Carranza was born in Eagle Pass, TX and attended a private catholic school in Piedras Negras, Coahuila. After graduating High school in 2004, Tassia moved to San Antonio to pursue her educational goals.

Tassia started with The Espinoza Law Firm in September of 2012 as a receptionist and has quickly moved her way up as a valuable asset to our firm. As the firm’s main discovery and medicals clerk, Tassia enjoys meeting with clients and obtaining the necessary information to strengthen our client’s cases. Tassia’s intelligence and passion for our clients makes her a true asset to our firm.
